Paolo Ferrarini speaks with Sara Ricciardi, designer and social design lecturer, in the episode dedicated to The Volume in the podcast “With Ferré: Projects and Principles in Dialogue.”

Gianfranco Ferré’s architectural background resonates throughout his work: this is evident in the sense of volume that defines each of his creations, from garments built through rigorous two-dimensional drawings to masterpieces draped directly on the mannequin. Like a space to be inhabited, the garment becomes for Ferré a true three-dimensional expression of form. The episode meets Sara Ricciardi, designer and social design lecturer, to explore the theme of volume through the materials, colors, and ideas that give life to projects that are both effective and, at times, even magical.

“Con Ferré, progetti e principi in dialogo” is a podcast by the Gianfranco Ferré Research Center. Full citation sources and credits are available in the show notes.
