Course description

This series of courses introduces students to the concept of Reconfigurable FPGA-based Systems, by discussing their overall architecture and companion design flows. The goal is to present to the students the methodological approaches for the design of such systems, showing also real industrial tools, examples and common practices.

The MOOCs have been organized according to thematic homogeneity: their use does not require a sequential order. Some courses may list specific prerequisites in their respective course pages.

    Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) series

      FPGA computing systems: A Bird’s Eye View on Reconfigurable Computing Subcourse
      Students must

      This course, which is the first one of a “series”, is for anyone passionate in learning how a hardware component can be adapted at runtime to better respond to users/environment needs. This adaptation can be provided by the designers, or it can be an embedded characteristic of the system itself

      The course introduces students to the concept of Reconfigurable FPGA-based Systems, by discussing their overall architecture and companion design flows. The goal is to present to the students the methodological approaches for the design of such systems, showing also real industrial tools, examples and common practices

      This course, which is the third one of a “series”, is for anyone passionate about learning the theory on how to develop FPGA-accelerated applications with SDAccel

      Duration: 6 weeks

      This course, which is the fourth one of a “series”, is for anyone passionate about practicing how to develop FPGA-accelerated applications with SDAccel

      Duration: 5 weeks

Assessment

Each course has specific methods for passing. Check the individual course pages to learn the criteria used.

Certificate

By enrolling in the series, you will be automatically enrolled in all the courses it includes. You’ll find both the series and its individual courses in your dashboard.

Once you complete all the courses, the series will also appear as completed on your dashboard. After completing each course, you can request the related Open Badge, while there is no Open Badge for the series as a whole.
