To open the list of notifications, click on the “Bell” icon in the top right-hand corner.

If there are notifications that you have not yet viewed, the icon will be marked with the number of unread notifications. You can click on the individual notification to open the context to which it refers.

To receive notifications of site or course announcements posted on POK, open the “Notification Preferences” (user → preferences → notification preferences), locate the Forum row and set all the indicators below to On.

To receive forum notifications for a MOOC:

• open the “Notification Preferences” (user → preferences → notification preferences), locate the Forum row and set all related indicators to On;
• enter the forum and click on “Subscribe forum” in the top right-hand corner.

If the “Subscribe to forum” option does not appear, the failure to send notifications may be due to the fact that you have already subscribed to the forum, but have unsubscribed from a particular thread. Check the Subscribe column next to the threads and activate any unchecked ticks.

You can choose to receive notifications by e-mail or within POK regarding:

• site announcements;
• activities and resources within the courses you are enrolled in;
• course enrolments.

Notifications may concern, for example: staff announcements, a new post in a forum you follow, a new resource available in the course.

Yes: open the “Notification Preferences” (User → Preferences → Notification Preferences) and activate the “Disable Notifications” tick just below the title. This way you will no longer receive any notifications from any courses, either by e-mail or within the site.

If you wish to disable only email notifications, but not those within the site, from the “Notification Preferences” page change all status indicators under the e-mail column from On to Off.

Here are the necessary steps to obtain a certificate of accomplishment in PDF format.

• Fulfil the conditions indicated in the "Certificate of accomplishment" tab.
• You will now have unlocked the "Certificate of Accomplishment request" activity at the end of the course: start the quiz and answer "Yes".
• Once you have finished reviewing the quiz, the link to "Certificate requests and self-certification" will appear. Click on it and you will be redirected to the relevant page of the Politecnico online services.
• Go to "Training courses", open the drop-down menu under "Courses" on the new page and select the course you are interested in to download the certificate in PDF format. If you do not yet see it in your list, please wait a few minutes.

The certificate of accomplishment contains the following information:

• Your full name, as registered in the Politecnico di Milano online services;
• course title;
• name and signature of the lecturer;
• date.

It is also specified that the certificate of accomplishment does not confer any university credits or grades or diplomas.

You can receive a certificate of accomplishment if you are registered in POK with a Politecnico di Milano account and if you have carried out the required actions.

They generally consist of achieving at least 60% of the total score in the graded quizzes and having completed the final questionnaire.
